Community Care Days
As part of a United Way Initiative, companies have the opportunity to allow employee/volunteers to come and work at our facilities instead of going to their normal work place. These volunteers give their time and talents to help perform some of the "chores" and different tasks/projects that we may otherwise never be able to get accomplished.
Some of the multitude of tasks that have been accomplished in the past include: much painting, building a deck, building a gazebo with ramps, building a chicken coop, building a pond dock, clearing trails in the woods, bush hogging fields, staining, hanging swings, constructing a rabbit hutch, repairing floors, landscaping, mulching, building a covered patio, replacing a sidewalk, mending a horse fence, building a dove aviary, installing a fountain, graveling a driveway, pouring a paved patio and much, much more!!!
We are truly thankful for the volunteers who have united to share their lives with those we serve, making their homes more accessible to them and beautifying the environments that they live in. Some of the companies who have given their time, talent and even resources in the past for Community Care Days include: ITW Air Management-Paxton; the Midland Company; the IT Department at Fifth-Third Bank; Ethicon Endo-Surgery; Home Depot; E-Z Rent-All and Sales; Sardinia Concrete Company; Plants by Wolfangel; Batavia Transmission, LLC; and Stockamp & Associates, Inc.
