Please join the Epilepsy Foundation and the family and friends of Taylor Huth as they host the 3rd annual Benjamin “Taylor” Huth Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Taylor started having seizures while in high school and unfortunately died in his early twenties. His family and friends have kept Taylor’s zeal for life alive as they take part annually in our Emerald Miles Run/Walk and host this golf tournament. The proceeds of the tournament benefit students at Taylor’s High School and now his family will be generously offering college scholarships to youth with epilepsy from proceeds of the golf outing. We are very excited to partner with Taylor’s family and friends to host this tournament.

Please either download the flyer or click on the link to register online.

This event is just one more example of how working together, we are making a difference in the lives of people with epilepsy.

We recently have been contacted regarding "Project Access", a federally funded project aimed at improving access to care for children with epilepsy. Through this project, the Project Access team at the USC University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has developed a very informative and valuable epilepsy parent guide.  A free downloadable version of this guide can be found on their website here. We thank them for sharing this resourceful information!

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati is pleased to announce a new fundraiser in affiliation with our national office called “Talk About It! @ Dinner.” This new initiative debuted with a short video on www.talkaboutit.org with actor, Greg Grunberg, TV star from the show Hero’s. TalkAboutIt.org is a new star-studded web site created “to educate the world about seizures and epilepsy on behalf of the 50 million people around the globe, who are coping with the condition”, including his oldest son. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and money for the Epilepsy Foundation and our mission of epilepsy through hosting “at-home” parties. This event is both a valuable fundraiser and public awareness campaign all wrapped into one event. All money raised will stay locally in our community. If you would like to be included in this exciting program please contact our office at (513) 721-2905.
